Allana participated for Australia at Rugby Sevens, but then knee injuries forced her to be absent for a few seasons, before she switched to the Rugby League. Allana had her first ever women's rugby union game played with New South Wales and she was the main focus of the match that was played against Queensland. Allana has added radio to her roster, and makes regular appearances as part of 2GB's Continuous Call Team. Allana is a teacher with a complete qualification outside of sports. Allana Ferguson has the unique privilege of representing Australia in three sports including the rugby sevens (rugby league) as well as touch the rugby union.
